Glamourer overrides your character’s visible appearance without touching your equipped gear. Where the glamour plate system is limited to items you own and unlocks you have, Glamourer sets the model directly.
Designs
A design is a saved appearance: equipment, dyes, customisation, and optionally your race and body proportions. Designs are reusable and can be applied instantly.
To create one:
- Open
/glamourand dress your character in the window. - Switch to the Designs tab.
- Press New Design, name it, and save the current state into it.
Names support folders with / — Raid/Healer and Casual/Winter sort themselves into a tree automatically. This matters more than it sounds like once you pass thirty designs.
Locking individual slots
Each slot has a small lock toggle. A locked slot is applied by the design; an unlocked slot is left alone.
This is the feature that makes designs composable. A design that only locks the hat slot can be applied on top of any outfit to swap headwear without disturbing anything else.
Automation
The Automation tab applies designs on conditions — a job, a specific world, or a particular character on your account. Common setups:
- One design per job, so changing class changes your look.
- A default design for your main, so you never log in as the wrong body mod.
Enable Auto-apply at the top of the tab or none of the rules fire, which is the single most common reason automation “does not work.”
Interaction with Penumbra
Glamourer decides which model slot is shown. Penumbra decides which files that model loads. They are complementary, and both need to be right.
If a design shows the correct item but the wrong texture, that is a Penumbra collection problem, not a Glamourer one.
